Reading these records
Registration is a fact; a rating is a judgement.
The care directory records who is registered for which regulated activities, under which provider, and when the service was last checked. It does not carry the CQC quality rating, and no page here infers one — every record links straight to the CQC page where the current rating and reports live. Authorities are the ones CQC records, so they can differ from the council area a postcode falls in.
